A sudden turn

I just came from the airport, and when I got off, the FCC won against net neutrality. Changes will start slowly, but don't undermine the rotten abilities they ultimately posess. This is a tragic loss for not only Americans, but the rest of the world as well. The USA prides itself with freedom, but the current turn of events reflects everything but. The FCC chairman Ajit pai has laughed at the outcry of millions of people. He is above the will of the people and does not care about our thoughts. The only ones who can overthrow this disregard of freedom is congress.

What will happen:

 Bullet; Orange Loss of rights
 Bullet; Orange Unstable internet speed
Bullet; Orange Increased difficulty for smaller internet sites to be seen
Bullet; Orange The FCC can legally regulate what you see
Bullet; Orange Torrent sites might be blacklisted from the public
Bullet; Orange The sharing of social issues might be heavily compromised

Excluding opposition

Jerry McNerney, a congressman, was denied the ability to speak out against the repeal when the vote took place. Instead, an FCC commissioner named Mignon Clyburn delivered his heartfelt speech powerfully!

Important update  15. Des. 2017
Recently, it's been discovered the FCC may have impersonated dead men and woman to vote against net neutrality, read here: twitter.com/MackenzieAstin/sta…
Never stop the fight, two voted against- and surely this can be taken to congress. All is not over yet.

Click to battle!

If you request a feature of your journal about net neutrality, it goes here. I will compile as many as possible to give exposure to the will of preserving our internet. Together.
Congress can still save us.

:thumb720060345: It's over and having doubts about freedom...We did the best we can....but unfortunately...it wasn't enough...the FCC has voted to end Net Neutrality and it's just a heartbreaking moment for all of us. Now there's a chance that in a few months, everything we know about the Internet will change for good. For myself, even I'm at this point where Freedom of Speech in this country or perhaps in this world, basically doesn't exist from my view.
Anyway, I still want to thank everyone of you for looking at the journal. Heck, even a few of you guys even spread the news, which is very thoughtful that you guys really deserve it for what you did. So thank you to you all.
During the years, things in this country have just gotten into a worse situation, especially at 2016-2017, and now coming to 2018...I honestly don't have any hope for the future anymore, and just gonna keep doing the stuff I usually do until I can't anymore.
So, to conclude, thank you everyone for being apart from this and remember...the battle have been lost, but it's not

So.... Ajit and FCC seems to have committed FRAUD. owo; That's all. Let it sink in.
What does this mean now, pals?
I'll be providing more evidence to come to support some of my previous statements here for those asking if this or that is true or not. ;3 I'll update abit frequently or until I got all I needed.
Update 1: Can people see the journal again when it updates...? .w. Screw it, I'll do it anyways. Listen up guys! Congress is making a bill to stop FCC right here and now!

Spread this like wildfire as it states! :3 If we do this, we'll totally win!! DO IT!!! XD

<da:thumb id="719761448"/> Net Neutrality Update: We're Not Paying for AccessSo i just recently discovered this tweet, this was made yesterday before the events of all this that went down. for those who just want to go straight to the point. Here. https://twitter.com/mrgrne/status/941106343636799488
What the guy is saying is. America's Internet isn't shutting down, you don't have to pay for access to applications,You won't lose your internet friends. we know net neutrality is repealed and if it goes through court successfully.
It gives providers like (Comcast and others) To mess with your internet.
What the guy mean is Messing with your internet by slow it down/speed it up on specific applications or websites due to prioritizing or slow it down due to wanting you to think you need to pay more for your internet to make it faster, even if your internet is highly capable of handling your phone or computer
Ex: If you one day log onto Facebook or Deviantart and the loading is so dang slow, and all of a sudden on a different site like Youtube it loads fast all o

In the US, the FCC will be voting on December 14th on a plan to repeal the Net Neutrality regulations imposed in 2015. These regulations treated the internet like a commodity that people couldn't pay more for in order to get into an 'internet fast-lane'. It treated the internet like a utility, similar to water or power. Repealing Net Neutrality would undo all of this.
On July 12, they tried to initially do this, but people making their voices heard helped defeat the plan. Now they're trying again and hiding behind the craziness of the winter holidays to distract people from the very serious issue at hand.

Net neutrality is at stake, US loveliesSo, I normally don't make journals, I don't like bugging my followers about shit unless I absolutely have to. But this is EXTREMELY important, especially for all my United States watchers.

Today, the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the US has announced their plans to repeal the rules set in place for Net Neutrality.
They are voting on this important decision on December 14th, that's LESS THAN A MONTH to make a difference. We have to FIGHT.

Update:
We've lost the vote. But it's not over. The appeal must still pass through congress. Thanks to anyone and everyone that's read this journal, and I hope you continue to share this information to your loved ones.
What does this mean for US citizens and their internet?

Save Net Neutrality (and everyone effected)The FCC just voted to crush Net Neutrality, letting Internet providers like Verizon and Comcast control what we can see and do online with new fees we can't afford, throttling, and censorship. But our fight doesn't have to be over! YOU can do something.
We can still get Congress to stop this by passing a "Resolution of Disapproval" to overturn the FCC vote.
If net neutrality truly dies, we lose so much. You, your friends, content creators, artists, and so many more people on the internet will likely disappear, unable to continue to make money off the platforms they've been using thus far. How many creators do you think would stay? I likely wouldn't be able to to what I do anymore.
PLEASE follow the link below to write congress to fix this mess.
Do you really want to be charged more for silence?

<da:thumb id="716453292"/> Save Net NeutralityIt just occurred to me that I haven't seen many people at all on my watch list talking about the Net Neutrality issue, so I'm speaking up.
The internet is in danger. You've heard this before, but the thing is, it's actually happening this time, there's a good chance we may not win.
If you don't know what is going on, Net Neutrality is what we already have. We have internet that is neutral. We buy a computer, it comes with a browser like Safari or Firefox or whatever, you pay for internet in your home, and the world is at your fingertips. Without Net Neutrality, the world will have tolls. Lots of them. You want to watch youtube? They'll want money. You want to talk to your internet friends? Pay up. You want to look something up on google? That costs extra too. Games, shopping, news... money, money money. Also, you know how you can go to literally any website you want? Your cable company can block you from sites they don't support. They'll be monitoring where you go. They're controlling

Net Neutrality (PLEASE READ)The FCC just announced its plan to slash net neutrality rules, allowing ISPs like Verizon to block apps, slow websites, and charge fees to control what you see & do online. They vote December 14th. But if Congress gets enough calls, *they* can stop the FCC.
What is net neutrality? Why does it matter?
Net neutrality is the principle that Internet providers like Comcast & Verizon should not control what we see and do online. In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization—"fast lanes" for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else.
They are Team Cable. They want to end net neutrality, to control & tax the Internet.

Cable companies are famous for high prices and poor service. Several rank as

<da:thumb id="720067781"/> Tomorrow will NOT be the end of the Net NeutralityRegardless of what happens tomorrow, know that even if Pai wins this battle in the war to get rid of Net Neutrality (by that i mean the vote passing.), it won't mean he's won outright. There's still a long process he has to go through which'll take at least a year to do, and he'll need to convince the courts, should they intervene (and there's a strong chance they will) that this is the best course of action. Pai has no evidence that it will work, he has no proof that it's hurt internet providers, and no logical argument to back his decision. Add to that his purposeful ignorance and obstruction into the investigation about the spam/fake comments during the open comment period, and Pai's strategy is nothing more than a wobbly house of cards, an unstable Jenga tower, that'll eventaully collapse in catastrophic fashion. It's destined to fail, maybe not right away, but it will in the long run.
On top of that, Congress is starting to take notice. Along with Senator Maloney introducing legis

if you guys haven't been keeping up on this, net neutrality is what keeps everything on the internet free. if the fcc and the rest of the big fat cats kill net neutrality, we'll have to pay to visit websites like deviantart, twitter, facebook, and literally every other website on the internet.
there was a law that did NOT allow companies to do this during the obama era, but they've repealed it and now they're trying to make us pay.
this isnt a scare like sopa or pipa this is like...an actual thing happening. the fcc literally stole over two million identities to vote towards killing net neutrality.

<da:thumb id="719719315"/> Will Net Neutrality Survive? The FCC Wants To Destroy It.

Today, DeviantArt has joined hundreds of sites across the web to fight for net neutrality. July 12th is a coordinated day of grassroots efforts across the net to bring attention to the shadowy efforts of powerful cable and telecom industry forces to do away with net neutrality — a rule that protects open and equal access to the net for all publishers.
Without net neutrality rules that create an open and fair playing field for all users on the Internet, there will be economic censorship with the rich publishers paying Internet providers to be in the fast lanes with the rest of us throttled down.

WHY WE'RE FIGHTING
The FCC wants to destroy net neutrality and give big cable companies control over what we see and do o
Fight For Net NeutralityThe internet has given so many people great opportunities. Even people here on dA! I want there to be more opportunies in the future. So call or help spread the word. Better yet do both if you can because if the internet is a part of your life then you are effected by this!

We will not be silenced until the FCC is denied to further repeal net neutrality from connecting with friends and family, our education, our jobs and including our friends here on this site and our art we share with others everyday!
